Who:
Mike Boyle
Program and Title:
General Safety - Assistant Campus Safety Officer
How long have you worked for OH&S?
2 yrs
What is your birthplace?
Birmingham, Alabama
College(s) attended/degrees?
University of South Alabama, BS Biology
If you could leave a legacy for your family what would it be?
If I could? Ridiculously large sums of money. Failing that I would leave the following advice: "Drive inexpensive cars, but own the best home you can afford."
What is your favorite place to have lunch?
Easily, Surin West.
What was the last book that you read?
"A Pocket Full Of History" by Jim Noles. It is a book on all the State Quarters with the story behind each design and how it was chosen. I’m not a history buff but the book is absolutely fascinating.
What is your favorite movie?
I’m really not a big movie fan. I can’t think of one that stands out. Sorry.
What is the worst job you’ve had? Why?
Mowing lawns, age 13. I did 3 to 5 lawns every week (including our own). It was extremely educational. I learned that I did NOT want to go into landscaping. You might say that job was my first inspiration to go to college.
Name an interesting fact about yourself that you have not already told us:
When I graduated this quote appeared in a local newspaper: "We are delighted to announce that Mr. Mike Boyle is a graduate of The University of South Alabama." (signed: all the other colleges in the country) |
